Gravity Modelling Workshop
PT. NewQuest Geotechnology held a Gravity Modeling Workshop on Thursday, February 2nd, 2017. Located at the Laboratory of Computer, Department of Physics, FMIPA UI, this workshop was participated by 31 undergraduate and graduate students who are running for thesis. Gravity Modeling Workshop as a real support from PT. NewQuest Geotechnology on developing the competence of students in the geothermal field.
The ability of gravity data modeling is very important to be mastered by graduates of geophysics, especially for those who are in the geothermal. This modeling is useful for viewing subsurface structures by gravity method. Before doing the modeling, the participants are required to master the basics of gravity method to be able to process the acquisition data. This workshop uses surfer software and GravPro-X, owned by PT. NewQuest Geotechnology.
The Gravity Modeling Workshop was opened by Dr. Yunus Daud, Lecturer in Department of Physics FMIPA UI. Further workshop assisted by Mohamad Lutfi Ismail and Agus Sulistyo.
