NQ Academy Webinar #7: Optimization of Geothermal Production Processes through Geochemical Interventions for Sustainable Geothermal Development
Thursday, March 25, 2021
Geothermal fluids are often strongly enriched with dissolved chemical content. It dissolves a lot of impurities from water-rock interaction. There are several chemical content such as silica, calcite, anhydrite, dan metal sulphide that might be found in the geothermal fluids. These chemical content might precipitate uncontrolled and create problems at the geothermal plant, in the reinjection well, or in the reservoir thus causing severe damages to the plant or the reservoir.
Other problem in geothermal wells beside scaling is corrosion problem. Both problems have to be handled properly in vapor-dominated or liquid-dominated geothermal systems. The problems could also be found in the single flash, double flash, or binary power plant system.
Could geochemistry be optimized in overcoming the problems in geothermal production stage? What are its strategies?
Through NQ Academy Webinar series 7 entitled “Optimization of Geothermal Production Processes through Geochemical Interventions for Sustainable Geothermal Development”, we want to discuss about geochemistry which has an important role in the production stage of geothermal energy. The problems caused by geothermal fluids are required to be handled properly in order to make sustainable of geothermal development.
NQ Academy Webinar #7 will be delivered by Muhamad Andhika M.Si. He is a Production Geochemist at Sarulla Operation Ltd. The Webinar will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2021.
We invite you to participate in the 7th NQ Academy Webinar. So, Don’t miss it!
