NQ Annual Meeting 2021: 10 Years of Contributions

NewQuest Geotechnology has organized Pre Annual Meeting and Annual Meeting on 5-12 January 2021. This activity was attended by all divisions: Business Development, Technology Development, Software Development and Financial Development.

The meeting has a theme of “10 Years of Contributions” was held in 2 stages, the first stage is Pre-Annual Meeting (5-8 January 2021) focused on evaluation of 2020 programs and the second stage is Annual Meeting (11-12 January 2021) focused on planning of 2021 programs.

In his remarks at the Pre-Annual Meeting, Dr. Yunus Daud, Founder of NQ expressed his deep gratitude and congratulated NQ good performance in 2020, “Even though the conditions were difficult and limited due to the Covid-19 pandemic, NQ was able to maintain its performance and managed to achieve several important milestones”.

In short, the accumulated 9 years of NQ operation is the contribution of exploration in 47 geothermal prospect areas in Indonesia & Malaysia with total resources discovery of more than 3000 MW.

In 2020, according to Dr. Yunus Daud, it is an extraordinary achievement. There are at least 3 recognized appreciation of the national and international geothermal communities received by NQ, namely: NQ was awarded as the Best Geothermal Exploration Services Company in IAGI Award 2020, the launching of NQ Academy which has organized 4 interesting webinars, and performing global strategic partnership to accelerate geothermal development in Indonesia.

In his closing remarks at the Annual Meeting session, Dr. Yunus Daud appreciated the government for increasingly supporting geothermal development, especially at the exploration stage through the Government Drilling program and the GREM (Geothermal Risk Exploration Mitigation) Facility.

NQ as the Best Geothermal Exploration Services Company in Indonesia will certainly contribute and play an active role in the success of this risky program. Dr. Yunus Daud reminded all participants that the 2021 NQ Annual Meeting agreed to seriously follow up on the 2020 achievements and would seize opportunities in accelerating exploration activities in Indonesia.

Among the company plans for 2021 are implementing continuous R&D to reduce geothermal exploration risks, increasing the role in geothermal development in Indonesia, Geothermal Capacity Building via NQ Academy, global collaboration & partnership. In particular, the teams are expected to maximize publication, communication and other activities related to the “10 Years of Contributions” moment.
